Cocktail spoon – what is it?
A cocktail spoon is a special tool used in cocktail making. It consists of a long spoon with a twisted handle, often measuring about 25 to 30 centimetres in length. The twisted handle makes it easier to stir drinks in tall glasses or cocktail shakers without the spoon slipping. The other end of the cocktail spoon may feature a fork or rounded head, which is used for layering cocktails or garnishing. The cocktail spoon is an essential tool for bartenders to mix, stir and layer drinks.
