We’re getting married with a cocktail bar! Granted, that sounds a bit odd. We don’t mean you should marry a cocktail bar. We’re there at every party where people celebrate a special occasion with special drinks. We’re bartenders and we’ve learned not just to impress with cool drinks and unique cocktails—we also stand for refined entertainment at the cocktail bar. And the best part? It almost doesn’t matter where you celebrate; we bring our mobile cocktail bar almost anywhere. And with our cocktails and drinks, we ensure the perfect atmosphere.
The wedding was—and still is—celebrated! One thing was clear from the very beginning of this development: the wedding was an excuse for a big bash.
Saying “I do” became increasingly important. A unique ritual emerged—a wedding liturgy. The church supported monogamy and the indissolubility of marriage. Gradually, the legally binding, socially secure, consensus-based monogamous marriage became the norm.
In this way, the newlyweds replaced the bride’s former guardian, who used to negotiate the wedding. He became obsolete. The clan guardian evolved into the best man.

In Germanic tradition, “Hîwa” meant “marriage.” It referred to a household or domestic community. The word “Ehe” (marriage) comes from the Old or Middle High German “ewe” or “ewa,” meaning “law.” Until October 1, 2017, this referred to a man and woman living together. Since then, the law also applies to women and men together.
