White spirits – What are they?

“White spirits” is a term used for spirits that are colorless and transparent, as opposed to spirits that develop color through aging or the addition of dyes. White spirits are often produced by distilling grain, fruit, or other plant-based ingredients and typically have a pure, neutral flavor. Some examples of white spirits include Vodka, Gin, Tequila (especially Silver or Blanco Tequila), white Rum, and some types of Brandy and Grappa. These spirits are often enjoyed neat but can also serve as a base for cocktails, as they mix well with other flavors and ingredients.
