Grenadine – What is it?
Grenadine is a sweet syrup made from pomegranate juice. The syrup has a deep red color and is used to prepare drinks and cocktails, giving them a fruity and sweet note. Grenadine is commonly used in a variety of mixed drinks, including the Tequila Sunrise, Shirley Temple and Sea Breeze.
It’s important to note that many commercial grenadine syrups contain sugar, water and sometimes citric acid in addition to pomegranate juice. However, there are also high-quality grenadines made exclusively from natural ingredients.
